Karl and Eileen Bagwell of East Lyme are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Bagwell of Niantic, to Brandon Nicolas Ball of Niantic. Brandon is the son of Michael and Vickie Ball of Unadilla, N.Y.

Lauren is a 2008 graduate of East Lyme High School and 2015 graduate of Southern State University with her sixth year degree in reading. She is currently employed at Mary Morrison Elementary School, Groton as the reading specialist. Brandon is a 2006 graduate of Unatego High School, Otego, N.Y., and a 2013 graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute with his master’s degree in systems engineering. He is currently employed at General Dynamics Electric Boat Division.

A fall 2017 wedding is planned.
