Auxiliary Package School graduation

Groton — Thirteen sailors of Class 16150 graduated from Auxiliary Package School on Sept. 16.
Fireman Riley Berry was class honorman.
Auxiliary Package School is a six-week long training pipeline for submarine auxiliarymen with instruction in pumps, hydraulics, refrigeration, diesel engines, and watertight hatches.
After completing Basic Enlisted Submarine School, sailors undergo three weeks of initial instruction in basic mechanical skills, emphasizing basic mechanical concepts, tools, and uses prior to entering Auxiliary Package School.
