Groton — The Groton Rotary Club's third annual golf tournament is scheduled for June 2, at the Shennecossett Golf Course. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the club's youth scholars and community grants program.

Companies wishing to show their appreciation for our military can purchase a Patriotic Sponsorship for $500. This will cover the greens fees for four military service personnel. The sponsorship also includes signage with the company's logo and program recognition. The Groton Rotary Club will recruit the military foursomes from the Naval Submarine Base and from within the community.

Local groups who committed to be military sponsors last year were: Groton Utilities, Stonington Odd Fellows Lodge No. 26, AOK Computer Center, R B Kent and Son, and Independence Physical Therapy. Join these local businesses in supporting our local military.

All checks should be made out to the Groton Rotary Club and mailed to John Silsby, 74 Sharon Road, Mystic, CT 06355.
