Fire department fundraising leads to warning

The Old Saybrook Fire Department is warning town residents about a group soliciting donations by phone on behalf of firefighters and fire departments.

"Please note that the Old Saybrook Fire Department will NEVER call you on the phone looking for a donation," the department said in a press release. "This current phone campaign has nothing to do with and will not benefit the OSFD."
