    Plainfield police searching for suspect in early morning stabbing

    Plainfield police are looking for a suspect in an early morning stabbing at the Music Lady Cafe.

    According to a news release, Norwich police notified Plainfield police at 3:15 a.m. that a 43-year-old man from the Versailles section of Sprague who had been driven to the William W. Backus Hospital was being treated for a stab wound to the abdomen and a facial laceration. 

    He told police he was stabbed in the parking lot as he was leaving through the front door of the cafe at 6 Green Hollow Road. His injuries were not life-threatening, police said.

    The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 21 to 28 years of age, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a skinny build, black hair and goatee. He was wearing a grey hooded sweat shirt. Police do not know if he fled on foot or in a vehicle.
