    Three arrested on drug charges in New London

    New London — Three people were arrested Thursday on numerous drug charges after a search and seizure warrant executed at an apartment on West Street uncovered numerous drugs packaged for street sale.

    Elijah Griffin, 24, of 60 West St., second floor, was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a firearm, two counts of possession of a stolen firearm, two counts of carrying a pistol without a permit, possession of crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell, possession of crack cocaine within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, operating a drug factory and possession of drug paraphernalia.

    Dominque Griffin, 25, and Ajene Tillman, 25, also from 60 West St., second floor, each were charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to sell.

    Dominque Griffin also was charged with possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school, operating a drug factory and possession of drug paraphernalia.

    The state police Emergency Services Unit, the Statewide Narcotics Task Force along with the New London Narcotics Investigations Unit executed the search warrant at the residence. During the search, police said they found loaded firearms, crack cocaine, marijuana, packaging materials and digital scales.

    All three men are being held at police headquarters, pending their arraignment Friday in New London Superior Court.
