    Police: Groton man wanted for questioning in connection with East Lyme robbery

    Connecticut State Police Troop E is looking for a Groton man for questioning in connection with the robbery of the Core Plus Federal Credit Union, 125 Boston Post Rd. in East Lyme Friday morning.

    Richard Love currently is wanted on an extraditable warrant in a bank robbery from Richmond, R.I., according to a post on the Town Of Groton Police Department's Facebook page.

    Friday's East Lyme robbery was reported about 9:30 a.m.

    Bank employees and other witnesses told police that a man entered the bank, approached a teller and demanded money.

    He did not show a weapon. He fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and headed west on Boston Post Road in a pickup truck.

    The suspect was described as a white male approximately 5 feet, 6 inches tall with a slim build. He was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and tan pants. A photograph was not immediately available.
