An Old Lyme man was arrested and charged on Tuesday with a child pornography-related crime following an investigation that began in August, according to state police.
Eric A. Kendall, 42, of 6 Old Shore Road, Old Lyme, was charged Tuesday with first-degree illegal possession of child pornography.
State police said members of the State Police Computer Crimes Unit began investigating Kendall in August after they discovered that a video file of the child allegedly involved in the pornography was shared from the Internet account used at Kendall's home.
In September, police said, they executed a search and seizure warrant at Kendall's residence, taking his computer and later finding the files of suspected child pornography.
