Norwich — Police on Friday charged Paul Barthelet Jr., 45, of 35 Ashland St., Jewett City, with two counts of second-degree sexual assault, third-degree sexual assault, and two counts of risk of injury to a minor.

The arrest was the result of a several months-long investigation by the Norwich Police Detective Division and included more than one victim.

Barthelet Jr. was arrested at his home in Jewett City without incident, according to police. 

He was processed and held on a $250,000 bond pending arraignment in Norwich Superior Court on Jan. 19.
