Stonington police seeking witnesses to Tuesday crash involving pedestrian

Stonington — Police are seeking witnesses to help them clarify the cause of a Tuesday morning incident in which a pickup truck struck a woman walking on North Water Street near Route 1 and the Stonington Village Shell station about 11:05 a.m.
Police said the woman sustained injuries that were not life-threatening and was transported to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The man driving the Chevy S-10 pickup remained on the scene.
Police did not immediately identify the driver and the victim.
