Updated: Propane tank catches fire outside Norwich apartment complex
Norwich — Firefighters responded Saturday night to a propane tank fire outside Summitwoods of Norwich, an apartment complex.
The fire, reported about 9 p.m., was contained outside and there were no injuries, a dispatcher said.
Norwich police issued a news release over the weekend saying the cause of the fire was under investigation by City of Norwich Fire Marshal's office.
The release said the complex lost heat and some units were without hot water following the fire, which was confined to the tank area.
Norwich Fire Department, Mohegan Tribal Fire Department's Firefighters Assist and Search Team and American ambulance responded to the scene.
