Montville — Town police, in conjunction with state police, on Wednesday arrested a local man they said had 112 bags of heroin in his possession.

Phillip Taylor, 23, of 56 Chapel Hill Road, Oakdale, was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said his charges stemmed from a search and seizure warrant they served at his house around 1 p.m. Wednesday.

During the search, police said they found 112 bags of heroin, 6 ounces of marijuana, a small amount of cocaine, $1,041 cash and multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia.

Taylor, who posted a $10,000 bond, is scheduled to appear in Norwich Superior Court Aug. 25.
