Two pedestrians struck by vehicle in New London

New London — Two pedestrians were taken by ambulance to the hospital Thursday evening after being struck by a vehicle in the area of the intersection of Bank Street and Lee Avenue.

The injuries appeared to be minor, according to city firefighters, though information about their condition was not available late Thursday. The accident occurred about 7:30 p.m. and the patients were taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital.

Police were not immediately available to provide further information.
