Norwich — Police made one arrest Friday in connection with an Oct. 16 home invasion and assault on Hamilton Avenue and said additional arrests are possible in the case.

Police arrested Dyshaun Figuerou, 37, of 43 Merchants Ave., Apt. 1, Jewett City, at 1:47 a.m. Friday and charged him with home invasion, conspiracy to commit home invasion, first-degree robbery, second-degree assault, conspiracy to commit second-degree assault, conspiracy to commit second-degree assault, carrying a dangerous weapon, sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit second-degree larceny.

Figuerou was arrested on a warrant and a court-set bond of $100,000. He was arraigned Friday in Norwich Superior Court.

Police Sgt. Tom Lazzaro said police were called to the home in the overnight hours on Oct. 16 for a report that two men had entered an occupied home on Hamilton Avenue. Lazzaro said it did not appear that the intruders knew the occupant. No injuries were reported.

This is the first arrest in the case, and Lazzaro said additional arrests are possible. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Norwich police Detective Kevin Wilbur at (860) 886-5561, ext. 6.
