Ledyard to see detours during festival race Saturday
Ledyard — Traffic will be moving a bit differently in the center of town Saturday morning to accommodate the Color Me Fall Fest run.
Police said they’ll close state Route 117 for about 10 minutes when the race begins at 10 a.m. at the Ledyard Center School. The southbound lane of Colonel Ledyard Highway between Bill Library and Ledyard High School additionally will be closed for about an hour for the race.
Police will be detouring traffic through the center of town and onto state Route 214, where drivers can get to Spicer Hill Road and Gallup Hill Road.
Police are asking those who need to access Colonel Ledyard Park or any other affected area to follow detour signs and/or the directions of officers on scene.
Motorists should expect minor delays during the event.
