Norwich — Four ambulances and the fire department responded to a one-car accident Tuesday afternoon at 175 Laurel Hill Ave., according to the Norwich Fire Department.
First responders arrived about 1:39 p.m. to the accident, in which a car hit a utility pole, and found three of the four people in the car needed to be extricated, the fire department said. Battalion 1 established command, Engine 3 started patient care, and Squad A "began cutting the car" and lifted the dashboard to free the entrapped people, according to the fire department.
Four American Ambulances then transported the people to the hospital, the department said.
