A crew of 15 volunteers join Duane Button harvesting sunflowers for the annual Buttonwood Farms' Sunflowers for Wishes fundraiser. Bouquets of five sunflowers are available at the Buttonwood Farms Ice Cream stand on Shetucket Turnpike in Griswold through Sunday to benefit the Make a Wish Foundation.

People enjoy a hayride through the sunflower fields at Buttonwood Farm in Griswold Thursday, July 19, 2012 during Volunteer Appreciation Day for those who will be contributing to the Sunflowers for Wishes event.  The event benefits Make-A-Wish Connecticut and will be open to the public July 21 through 29th.
