Horse falls out of trailer on I-91 in Hartford

Hartford — A horse fell out of its trailer while being transported on Interstate 91 North near the Hartford-Windsor line Saturday morning.
The horse sustained a little road rash, but is OK, according to a tweet by state police. An off-duty trooper and auxiliary trooper assisted the horse, state police said.
The incident happened near Exit 34 shortly after 10 a.m., and the road was briefly closed. The highway has since reopened, state police said.
