Connecticut man pleads not guilty to killing parents

Bridgeport — A Connecticut man charged with killing his parents because they planned to cut him out of their will has pleaded not guilty.

Kyle Navin remains held on $2.5 million bond after waiving a probable cause hearing and pleading not guilty Wednesday to two counts of murder.

Navin is charged with shooting his parents, Jeffrey and Jeanette Navin of Easton. They were reported missing in August and their bodies were found in October.

Authorities allege the 26-year-old Kyle Navin killed his parents with his girlfriend's help to get their money.

According to the arrest warrant affidavit, Jeanette Navin told a friend shortly before her disappearance that she was at her wits end with her son and was cutting him out of the will.

Navin's lawyer refused comment outside court.
