Waterford police announce DUI checkpoints during holidays

Waterford – Intermittent DUI checkpoints are scheduled in town beginning on Thanksgiving and will continue through the New Year, according to police.
Police announced on Monday that along with the DUI checkpoints, the department will also assign two to three additional officers for patrols during the holidays.
The checkpoints are scheduled from 5 p.m. to 4 a.m. Speeding and other violations will also be enforced.
The DUI Enforcement Campaign is part of the Federal Highway Safety Program.
