I is for ice cream at Waterford school
Waterford — Faculty and staff at The Friendship School didn't need to scream for ice cream Tuesday.
Instead, they just had to form a line to get a free treat from the Flavor King ice cream truck, courtesy of their appreciative administration.
The school is counting down, using letters of the alphabet from A to Z, the last 26 days of school, and Principal Tricia Lee and Assistant Principal Jennifer Dowker decided to give the staff an ice cream treat for the letter I.
While students were exploring insects and "I can read" for the letter, the roughly 120 staff members rotated out to the school driveway to select, and in some cases consume, their treat.
