Snappy rescue in New London

New London — New London police came to the assistance of a reptilian resident of the city Thursday.
Using a piece of plywood, Officers Larry Lee and Jim Suarez transported a common snapping turtle off of State Pier Road and onto the property of the nearby Old Town Mill. Lee had located the piece of plywood on the adjacent lot.
