Three upcoming vaccination clinics announced for Groton

Groton — COVID-19 vaccination clinics will be held at three sites in Groton from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 14.

The free vaccination clinics will be held at the following locations: Thames River Magnet School, 250 Brandegee Ave.; Poquonnock Plains Park, 150 Fort Hill Road; and Washington Park, 155 Meridian St., according to flyers from the state Department of Public Health and Griffin Health. The clinics will be held in partnership with the Groton Public Schools' summer meal program.

First doses, second doses and boosters will be available at the clinics. Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson shots will be available, according to the notices.

The clinics are for all ages, 6 months and up. Walk-ins are welcome, and no appointment is required.

"Please bring a health insurance card and photo ID if you have them, but it is not necessary to have health insurance or ID to receive the vaccine," the notices state. "No one will be turned away for lack of insurance or ID."
