Road reopens after crash snaps pole in Waterford

Waterford — Police have reopened Old Norwich Road following an accident that knocked out power to about 60 Eversource customers.
Police said a vehicle struck and snapped a utility pole. Old Norwich Road was closed between Fitzgerald and Uncas avenues, not Route 32 as originally reported, according to the police department's Facebook page.
The crash knocked out power to 58 Eversource customers in the area of Uncas Avenue and Old Norwich Road. Those homes remained without power as of 7:20 p.m., according to the Eversource website. Minor injuries were reported in the accident.
