New London - Power has been restored to the majority of the more than 600 Connecticut Light & Power customers who lost power shortly after 4 p.m.
A CL&P spokeswoman said crews discovered and repaired an issue with an underground cable in the vicinity of Eugene O’Neill Drive. At 4:15 p.m., CL&P had reported 956 customers, or 6 percent of the city, without power. Areas without power had included portions of Pequot, Glenwood and Montauk avenues.
