Cape May, N.J. - The Coast Guard Foundation presented the U.S. Coast Guard with $3,000 to purchase new dugout benches for two softball fields at the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center Cape May on Aug. 3.

"Our mission as an organization is to provide support for all enlisted members and their families, and we are humbled by the recognition from those who are stationed and training here," said Anne Brengle, president of the Coast Guard Foundation.

The funds will also be used to purchase softball equipment such as balls, gloves and bats for the community teams. Earlier this year, the Coast Guard Foundation donated funds for four stand-up paddleboards for Coast Guard member and their families.
