Naugatuck — More than a week since an 11-month-old girl was strangled and dismembered in her home, police say they are working "around the clock" to apprehend her father.

Christopher Francisquini, 31, who has a long criminal history and spent much of the last decade in prison, remained at-large Saturday. He is wanted in the Nov. 18 homicide of his daughter, Camilla, who died from neck compression and stab wounds, according to the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Naugatuck police said Saturday they have received tips in the case and thanked the public for "aiding us in our efforts to bring this violent criminal to justice."

"We continue to ask the public to help be our eyes and ears and if you have any information regarding the suspect please contact Naugatuck Police Department immediately," police said.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation, which is also involved in the investigation and manhunt, is offering at $10,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of Francisquini.

Police did not say how many tips they have received or whether they believe Francisquini is still in Connecticut.

Naugatuck police had initially said Francisquini fled to New Haven, where they said a man matching his description was seen fleeing after abandoning his car on Interstate 91 last Friday. Police have also released security images of the man they believe is Francisquini who was seen on Quinnipiac Avenue in New Haven hours after the homicide.

Francisquini was on special parole and being monitored by a GPS tracking device when the homicide occurred at his Millville Avenue home, police said. Police said Francisquini removed his ankle monitor during a dispute with the child's mother in Waterbury after the child had been killed on Nov. 18.

Francisquini was convicted of a 2012 assault of a man at a Naugatuck barbershop in a drug deal that turned into a robbery, police said. He was released on supervised parole in 2020, but was sent back to prison to complete his sentence in November 2021 after police said he was involved in a West Haven carjacking and assaulted officers the next day while trying to escape a detention center.

After completing the prison sentence, Francisquini posted bonds in June totaling about $375,000 for the pending charges related to the carjacking, assault on officers and attempted escape, officials said. Bond documents for Francisquini, who qualified for a public defender based on his income level, have not been made available.

Prior to the homicide, officials said Francisquini had been compliant with the terms of his release, which included being on house arrest and monitored by a GPS device.

The case has prompted the state Office of the Child Advocate to investigate policies regarding the release of violent offenders into households with children.
