1967 aerial view of Franklin Street & Chestnut Street — The large white building in the center is the former Norwich Bulletin building. On its right is Dot’s Restaurant, Providence Bakery, and a mill. The Providence Bakery building and the mill are no longer standing. On the Bulletin’s left is a struture that was demolished in 1969, and replaced with a new building that housed the Norwich Bulletin’s new offset presses in 1970. Further left is the Sunshine Building which still stands. The next two buildings, near Bath Street, were demolished leaving a parking lot. The road behind the Norwich Bulletin is Chestnut Street, with the former Norwich Fire Department’s Central Headquarters in the center.
