    Sun visit San Antonio tonight

Two of the four teams vying for the No. 1 pick in the 2016 WNBA Draft play each other on Friday when the Connecticut Sun visit the San Antonio Stars (8 p.m., no TV).

The Sun (13-18) were eliminated from playoff consideration following Tuesday's 81-51 loss at Indiana while San Antonio (7-23) owns the WNBA's worst record and hasn't play since Sunday when the Stars remained winless on the road with a 60-52 loss to the Sparks in Los Angeles.

Atlanta (12-18) is also in play for the No. 1 pick — most likely UConn All-American Breanna Stewart — while the fourth spot will go to either Los Angeles (12-18) or Seattle (9-20). Both played Thursday night games on the West Coast.

The WNBA announced Thursday that its annual draft lottery will be held live (ESPN2) during halftime of Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals on Thursday, Sept. 24. The lottery winner will earn the No. 1 pick next April in what is considered as a deep and talented draft.

This year, instead of assigning lottery odds to the four teams based solely their record this season, the odds will be based on cumulative records of the lottery teams over the last two seasons. The team with the worst record will pick no lower than third.
