Mystic & Noank Library announces new executive director

Mystic — Chris Bradley, who recently served as the executive director of the Norwalk Public Library, will be the new executive director of the Mystic & Noank Library, replacing current Executive Director Karen Wall.

"In addition to her vast experience working in libraries, Ms. Bradley has also been very engaged with the library community, both as a President of the Connecticut Library Association as well as a two-time recipient of the CLA Special Achievement Award," a news release from the library stated. "Ms. Bradley has been recognized for her library's involvement with local organizations and businesses and looks forward to becoming involved with our community."

Bradley will start in the new position Thursday, said Judy Munro, president of the library's board of trustees.

The library building at 40 Library St. currently is closed to the public but is offering "door-side" pick-ups of holds during regular hours, the news release states. Grab & Go craft bags continue to be available in the Ames Room, and there is also a free outdoor library outside the main entrance. Virtual programs also are available, with a schedule on the event calendar on the library's website, www.mysticnoanklibrary.org.

The library will reopen to the public at 10 a.m. Dec. 14. People can place holds on the library's website or by calling (860) 536-7721. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
