Poetry in a Pandemic: Grateful abundance
We shift, we adjust, we make do
So many maneuvers
As humans we have much to consider
Each moment has purpose
Each day, week and year moves along
We have strength, hope and courage
We must persevere
We must take stock in
What is important.
Let’s us truly be grateful
for all of life itself.
Carol Vara is a health care professional living in Niantic. “I enjoy poetry and write it out of passion not for profit,” she said. “The poem is meant to be a reflection as to how folks are in the here and now with the virus and coping through it.”
