Allow Yourself
Nosound
Italian mimimalist Giancarlo Erra, the cloud-surfer behind Nosound, is back with his latest offering, and it's as lovely and mesmeric as ever. Erra relies on his beautifully yearning, looped vocal lines, tinkling piano patterns and acoustic guitar seasonings, rising tides of orchestral/choral synths, and skittering electronic percussion to provide a listening experience akin to a slowly materializing ground fog on a winter night. At the end of the album, you might start as though waking from a dream feeling pleasantly haunted — and the inclination is to immediately repeat the experience.
