Country superstar Brantley Gilbert heads to Foxwoods Saturday

If there's a beer left to be quaffed on a Saturday night, or a "Lord, I'm sorry" hymn not yet sung the next morning, Brantley Gilbert will take care of it.

As among the most successful of the latest generation of country music dudes who live that dicohtomous sinner/saint lifestyle and love to sing about it, Gilbert has released a succession recordings like "Fire & Brimstone" and "The Devil Don't Sleep" that represent the finest nuances of the so-called and (admittedly pejorative) bro-county style.

Important to note: Gilbert IS a tremendous live performer with a great band, and for all the Large-Livin' aspects, he does a lot of good, donating time, money and performances to veterans' groups, Make-a-Wish kids and other cancer organizations, and much more.

Gilbert brings his "Fire't Up" tour Saturday to the Grand Theater in Foxwoods. Dylan Scott, Chace Rice and Brandon Lay appear in support. Should be a great show but remember: Sunday morning's gonna come early!

Brantley Gilbert, 8 p.m. Saturday, Grand Theater, Foxwoods; $73.50-$108; 1-800-200-2882.
