The last music critic who tried to list what he considered to be all the artists and albums who/that influenced Kevin Parker — the mainstay behind Aussie rock band Tame Impala — actually started that project in 2015. He's still writing.

"Wait! Did I remember Syd Barrett?! What about Nektar? Todd Rundren? Oh, wait, of COURSE I got Todd in there ... Hey! Hawkind and Pet Shop Boys?! Oh, and ..."

Maybe this is all a suggestion that Parker is very much his own genius, thank you. If Parker was a bait shop, his supply of hooks would occupy a wall several hundred yards long.
