Add Waterford to list of beefed-up recyclers

In case you missed it, the town of Waterford is finally adopting single-stream recycling, allowing us to keep so much more material out of the waste stream.

The year 2009 has been a great one for the improvement of recycling initiatives in Connecticut and last week marked the beginning of a new era for Waterford as our new program kicked in.

As an aside, be sure to contact your local leaders if there is something you care about seeing changed or improved in your town.

Sometimes speaking up keeps issues on their radar that might otherwise slip through the cracks.
