Mashantucket - Two teenagers were arrested on charges of drinking alcohol during East Lyme High School's senior prom, held Saturday night at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center.

Brogan Ann Mei, 19, of 4 Palmer Road, and a 17-year-old youthful offender whom state police did not identify were charged with possession of alcohol by a minor.

Security officers at the prom alerted police that several attendees were seen drinking from plastic cups that contained an alcoholic beverage.

The high school's website contains information presented to seniors and their parents saying that drinking would not be tolerated at school functions and detailing the effects of underage drinking.
