No. 2 UConn women rally past Notre Dame

South Bend, Ind. -- Kelly Faris converted a lay-up with 14.6 seconds left as second-ranked UConn rallied from a five-point deficit in the final four minutes to defeat No. 12 Notre Dame, 79-76, in a Big East Conference women's basketball game Saturday afternoon.

Skylar Diggins had a chance to win it for the the Irish (13-4, 2-1), but missed a jump shot with 3 seconds left. Freshman Stefanie Dolson rebounded for UConn (14-1, 4-0), was fouled, and made a pair of free throws to clinch the win.

The Huskies went 26-for-27 from the foul line and ended the game on a 12-4 run. Maya Moore led UConn with 31 points and eight rebounds while Faris finished with 20 points and five assists and Dolson had eight points and nine rebounds.
