No. 2 UConn routs No. 8 Notre Dame 78-57

Storrs – Freshman Bria Hartley scored a career-high 29 points as second-ranked UConn cruised to a 78-57 victory over No. 8 Notre Dame Saturday afternoon in a Big East Conference women's basketball game at Gampel Pavilion.

Hartley made five 3-pointers and also had seven assists for the Huskies (26-1, 13-0), who will likely become the nation's top-ranked team again after No. 1 Baylor was upset by Texas Tech earlier in the day, 56-45.

Stefanie Dolson added 15 points for UConn while Tiffany Hayes had 13 and Maya Moore 12. Notre Dame is 22-5, 11-2.
