Groton native co-starring in "Merchant of Venice" off-Broadway

Groton native Kate MacCluggage is co-starring in "The Merchant of Venice" Off-Broadway, at the Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts at Pace University in New York City. She'll play Portia to F. Murray Abraham's Shylock. Abraham won a best-actor Oscar for his portrayal of Salieri in "Amadeus." This "Merchant of Venice" production is a revival of the lauded, sold-out 2007 version that starred Abraham (although not MacCluggage). The production runs from Sunday through March 13 in New York and then tours Chicago, Boston and Los Angeles.
