Pero as mayor is partner city needs
I have heard a lot of talk about what many of the candidates for mayor of New London will do for this city if elected. I only see one candidate who is actually working toward bringing visitors to our city to frequent our restaurants and businesses.
Rob Pero developed the idea to have a first Friday art stroll, which started April 1 and includes galleries, art studios, museums and theaters. Mr. Pero led the effort to team with Mark Roberts from the TSETSE Gallery to work with the local arts community to attract more visitors to New London on Friday nights.
I am sure the investment the city made in this event is the kind of partnership that Mr. Pero has talked about that needs to take place between the city and local businesses for them to be successful.
