Sails up off Niantic Bay

The crew of the vessel Vesper attempts to balance out and catch up to another boat on July 30, 2011. The 155th New York Yacht Club's Annual Summer Cruise took place Saturday in Long Island Sound with 98 vessels racing.

Ninety-eight registered vessels traveled through Long Island Sound outside Niantic Bay on Saturday during the New York Yacht Club's Summer Cruise. The vessels came through the area as part of an effort spearheaded by the Thames America's Cup Committee, Inc.
