    Millstone inspection finds no violations

A recent inspection of safety and security systems at Millstone Power Station Units 2 and 3 has turned up no findings of violations or deficiencies.

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission completed the inspection on Feb. 9, and released its report this week. The inspection included reviews of selected procedures and records, observations of plant activities and interviews with staff.

NRC spokesman Neil Sheehan said this was a "baseline security inspection." It is part of the normal level of oversight and covered key areas of the security program. Another recent inspection, which also turned up no findings, was specific to nuclear material control and accounting, he said.
