A public meeting about the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's assessment of safety performance at the Millstone Power Station in 2011 will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. April 19 at Waterford Town Hall.

The NRC described Millstone's safety performance in its annual assessment letter, released March 5. It can be found at: www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html, accession number ML 12061A240.

At the meeting, NRC staff will host an open house to discuss Millstone's performance in 2011 and answer questions from the public. Eight NRC officials and inspectors will attend.
