Fate of the Old High School
The three questions that appeared on the last ballot regarding what to do with the old high school shouldn't have been there.
I spoke up at a campaign visit by Mr. Joseph Maturo to East Farm Village, where Mr. Maturo spoke about the ballot questions, and was told by a Democrat on one of the council boards (who was there at the campaign visit), that the three questions were only on the ballot to see what we, the voters, thought of them.
But if I understand what I'm reading now, former mayor April Capone's administration wants to hold us to them. And what does Democratic Town Committee Chair Gene Ruocco mean there is no market for senior housing? I live at East Farm Village and we have a waiting list as long as your arm. Mr. Ruocco probably doesn't have a family member who is looking forward to living in senior housing.
I hope we have more public hearings on this matter-and make sure we get a notice!
