First Dan Kennedy CT Chapter Marketer of the Month Award to James Nicholas

CT GKIC chapter leader Will Harovas (on left) presents CT Marketer of the Month Award to James "Jimmy" Nicholas

James Nicholas, founder of Jimmy Marketing and EasyWebCreations.com, was named Connecticut Marketer of the Month in December by the state Chapter of the Glazer Kennedy Insider Circle (GKIC).

Nicholas, a Waterford resident who was one of three finalists, received the award at a ceremony in New Haven, CT.

This was the first Marketer of the Month competition for the CT chapter. The criteria used to select finalists included showing a unique campaign with actual results. Nicholas presented his recent unique direct mail campaign with a bank bag mailer, followed up with his Rubik’s Cube mailer. He also showed how he integrated email, video, and telephone follow-up in order to maximize his results. The campaign yielded a 935% ROI with a response rate of around 3%. The winner was selected by a group of entrepreneurs and business leaders from both New York and Connecticut – based on the overall campaign, the results, and the presentation of the campaign.

“This award is so exciting,” said Nicholas. “I feel as if it is also a reward for all of my research and marketing activities of this year.”

During 2012, Nicholas traveled to 11 different cities throughout the United States, including San Diego, Chicago, Orlando, Omaha, Albuquerque, Phoenix, Cleveland, New Haven, New York, Boston and Los Angeles, seeking out the latest marketing strategies to be utilized by Jimmy Marketing and EasyWebCreations.com.

“My research and personal testing has confirmed that what used to work isn’t working anymore, and innovative marketing strategies will be needed to propel growth in small businesses,” said Nicholas. “I’m eager for what lies ahead in 2013 and to help small business owners grow their businesses.”

GKIC was founded in 2004 by Dan Kennedy, when he started bringing together exclusive groups of like-minded entrepreneurs, business people, speakers, consultants, sales people and managers who wanted to increase their research, maximize their profits and create a better, more rewarding lifestyle. Today, Kennedy and GKIC influence more than one million business owners annually through the No. B.S. Marketing Letter, Books, products, coaching, live trainings, chapter meetings, and other resources. Known as the “Millionaire Maker,” Kennedy has built a reputation for helping entrepreneurs and small business owners go from zero to seven figures in record time.

Local GKIC chapters are led by GKIC certified Independent Business Advisors (IBAs). There are currently several dozen cities around the U.S. with local chapters. Will Harovas, who has built two companies from scratch and sold them both, founded the Connecticut chapter just a few months ago.

Nicholas said many voters said they chose him because of his infectious enthusiasm and passion for marketing and helping small businesses succeed.
