Kim and David Blair of Waterford are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Turner, to Patrick Ball, son of Leanne and Patrick Ball of Clinton, Mass.

Megan, a 2003 graduate of Waterford High School, earned a bachelor's degree in English from Framingham State University in 2007 and a master's degree in interactive communications from Quinnipiac University in 2010. She is currently employed as an acquisitions editor at Jones and Bartlett Learning.

Patrick, a 2002 graduate of Clinton High School, earned a bachelor's degree in English from Framingham State University in 2007. He is a senior local editor for Patch Media.

An Oct. 2013 wedding is planned in Mystic.
