New London police say stabbing victim knew suspect

New London — Police on Friday said that a stabbing that occurred Thursday afternoon at a home at 154 Lincoln Ave. was an isolated incident.

Police said the victim, who was acquainted with the suspect, sustained a stab wound in the side of the chest.

Police said the victim’s injuries were not life-threatening, but he was admitted to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for observation.

Police said a warrant is being applied for the suspect.
