UPDATED: Gillette Castle State Park reopens after power outage

East Haddam — The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection said today that Gillette Castle State Park has reopened after it was closed earlier in the day due to a power outage.

A transformer on the main road was damaged during the storm Wednesday night.
