Hartford boy crushed by falling television
Hartford (AP) — Hartford police are trying to determine how a television fell onto a 2-year-old boy, critically injuring the toddler.
Police say the child was found beneath the 32-inch tube-style television on Saturday night at a home on Garden Street.
He was taken first to St. Francis Hospital and later to the Connecticut Children's Medical center, where he underwent emergency surgery.
Police say the television apparently fell off a piece of furniture. They say there were adults in the home and the incident appears to be an accident.
No arrests have been made.
