    Waterford police release details of Thursday robbery

    Waterford — Police have released additional information about a man who stole a night deposit bag from a person trying to put it in the deposit box at the Bank of America branch at 68 Boston Post Rd. on Thursday night.

    Police said that at approximately 10:29 p.m, police received a 9-1-1 call reporting a robbery. Waterford and New London police responded, including a K-9 unit from New London.

    The initial investigation indicated the victim was making a night deposit when someone ran up from behind, grabbed the night deposit bag and pushed the victim out of way.

    The suspect fled east towards Willetts Ave. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6-foot, one-inch tall wearing blue jeans, a dark long sleeve shirt and a white or tan loose fitting mask that covered the face. This incident is under investigation by police.
